The Metro Line No. 1 officially operated from December 22, 2024, becoming the first train route of Ho Chi Minh City.
After a free month to encourage people to experience, from January 21, 2025, Metro No. 1 started collecting tolls.
Tickets from 7,000 - 20,000 VND/time (cash payment) and 6,000 - 19,000 VND/time (cashless payment).
In addition to the ticket, Metro No. 1 also offers many monthly ticket options with the price of 300,000 VND for general passengers and 150,000 VND for students. The ticket is unlimited in the first day of the day costing 40,000 VND/day or 90,000 VND/three days.
Some subjects such as people with meritorious services to the revolution, people with disabilities, the elderly and children under 6 years of age are completely free when using Metro Line 1.
Statistics show that Metro No. 1 is attracting great attention from the people. In 10 days of peak Tet (5 days ago and 5 days after Tet), this route served more than 761,000 passengers, operating 1,768 trains, with a total revenue of more than 11.7 billion VND, on average 1.3 billion/day.
