Ho Chi Minh City - Moc Bai Expressway
The Ho Chi Minh City - Moc Bai Expressway is nearly 51 km long, starting at the connecting point with Ring Road 3 (Ho Chi Minh City), ending at the intersection with National Highway 22 in Tay Ninh.
The total investment capital of the project is more than VND 19,600 billion, of which the main route under the BOT form is about VND 10,400 billion.
The project is built with a scale of 4 lanes in the first phase, and has started a bomb and mine clearance package and infrastructure relocation since last August.
In October 2025, the construction package of component project 2 will start with budget capital, while the main route is expected to be implemented in March 2026 with BOT capital.

According to the plan, the entire Ho Chi Minh City - Moc Bai expressway will be completed by the end of 2027.
When put into operation, this will be the shortest route from Ho Chi Minh City to Cambodia through Moc Bai Border Gate, reducing pressure on National Highway 22 and opening up space for the development of the industrial - urban chain from Moc Bai to Cai Mep - Thi Vai port, connecting the Xuyen A economic corridor.
National Highway 50B
National Highway 50B is a completely new route, about 55 km long, connecting Ho Chi Minh City with the former Long An (now Tay Ninh) and Tien Giang (now Dong Thap).
The section through Ho Chi Minh City is 5.8 km long, starting from Pham Hung Street and passing through the former districts of Binh Chanh and Nha Be.
The route is designed with 6 lanes, a cross-section of 40 m, with a total preliminary investment of nearly 5,300 billion VND.

The Ministry of Construction has recently agreed with the proposal of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee on the necessity of investing in this route.
National Highway 50B is considered especially important in connecting inter-regional traffic, reducing the load on National Highways 1 and 50, promoting urban development, industrial clusters along the route and reducing logistics costs.
Currently, the Department of Construction is preparing a pre-feasibility report, expected to be submitted for approval at the end of 2025, as a basis for implementation in the 2026 - 2030 period.
Vo Van Kiet Street extended
The Vo Van Kiet extended road project (Eastern - Western Expressway) is 14.6 km long, starting from the National Highway 1 overpass (Binh Chanh) to the border with Tay Ninh (formerly Long An).
The route has a road surface of 60 m, designed at a speed of 80 km/h for motor vehicles and 60 km/h for mixed lanes.
The project is divided into 3 sections, including the section from the National Highway 1 overpass to the Tan Tao - Cho Dem intersection (Vo Tran Chi Street, 2.7 km long) that used to implement BOT but had its contract with the investor suspended.

On the route, many river-crossing bridges will be built such as: Cai Trung, Hung Nhon, Lang Le Bau Co, Canal A and An Ha - Xang An Ha, along with the intersection in sync with Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 to increase inter-regional connectivity.
The total preliminary investment capital is nearly VND 19,400 billion, the cost of site clearance accounts for more than VND 12,800 billion. The project is expected to be implemented in the period of 2026 - 2030.
New road opening in the Northwest
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction is also speeding up the preparation of a pre-feasibility study report for the new Northwest route.
The entire route is nearly 10 km long, with a cross-section of 40 m, connecting from National Highway 1 (section belonging to Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 2) through Vinh Loc Industrial Park to Provincial Road 823D (Tay Ninh). A complete intersection with Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 will be built on the route.

The project has a total investment of about VND 8,800 billion, expected to start construction in the period of 2026 - 2030.
When completed, the route will contribute to reducing congestion in the Hoc Mon, Binh Chanh (HCMC) and Duc Hoa (Tay Ninh) areas, while connecting Ring Roads 2, 3, 4, creating momentum for urban development towards the Northwest.
