Records show that convective clouds develop strongly, causing thunderstorms with lightning in many areas of wards/communes such as Tan My, Tan Hung, Phu Dinh, Dien Hong, Binh Chanh, Hung Long, Nha Be, Phuoc Thanh and An Long.
On Mai Thi Luu street, localized flooding made it difficult for vehicles to move. On other roads such as Phan Van Tri, Dien Bien Phu, Ton That Thuyet... thunderstorms accompanied by strong winds caused many people to park their cars on the side of the road to shelter from the rain.

According to the Southern Regional Hydrometeorological Station, in the next 3 hours, convective clouds will continue to develop, causing showers and thunderstorms in the above areas, then it is likely to expand to neighboring areas, including Saigon ward. Common rainfall is from 10-30 mm, in some places over 40 mm.

During thunderstorms, it is necessary to watch out for tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind at level 5-7 (8-17m/s). Heavy rain can cause localized flooding in low-lying areas.
The weather pattern causing thunderstorms is due to easterly wind disturbances at high altitude combined with southwest winds operating with weak to moderate intensity in the Southern sea area.
