National Highway 50B
National Highway 50B connecting Ho Chi Minh City - Long An - Tien Giang has a total expected investment capital of 18,600 billion VND, approved by the Prime Minister in 2022.
The route is 55km long, 78m wide, starting point at Pham Hung street (HCMC), ending point at Trung Luong intersection (Tien Giang).
Recently, the Department of Transport of Ho Chi Minh City proposed that the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City prioritize the implementation of investment in the National Highway 50B project, a section passing through the city (from Pham Hung street to the border with Long An province) with a length of 5.8km. , 40m wide for 6 traffic lanes.
The project has a total preliminary investment of nearly 5,300 billion VND, expected to invest according to the PPP method, BOT contract (build - operate - transfer). Ho Chi Minh City budget is expected to participate in about 1,000 billion VND, investors mobilize 4,238 billion VND, deployed in the period of 2024 - 2030.
Vo Van Kiet Street is extended
Vo Van Kiet Street is 60m wide (6-10 lanes), about 13km long from Calmette bridge (District 1) to National Highway 1 intersection (Binh Chanh district), located in the East - West highway axis of Ho Chi Minh City. The road opened to traffic in 2009 and is considered a vital route, linking Ho Chi Minh City with localities in the southern key economic region.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport is proposing that the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee implement a project to extend Vo Van Kiet Street (from National Highway 1 to the border with Long An province).
The project to build a new road is about 12.5km long and 60m wide. In particular, the site is cleared once but invested before phase 1 to build roads on both sides, each road is 14.5m wide (the reserved land in the middle is 31m wide).
The total project investment is more than 5,700 billion VND in the form of PPP, with about 50% of Ho Chi Minh City budget participating (2,888 billion VND), implemented in the period of 2024 - 2030.
New open road in the Northwest
The new Northwest road project is about 10km long and 40m wide. The project has a starting point from Belt 2 of Ho Chi Minh City (Binh Chanh district) and an ending point at the Long An province border.
Total project investment capital is about 5,200 billion VND in the form of PPP, implemented in the period 2024 - 2030. Ho Chi Minh City budget is expected to participate in about 3,900 billion VND for site clearance, with the remaining about 1,300 billion VND mobilized by investors. to build.
This route helps solve traffic jams that often occur in Binh Chanh and Hoc Mon districts because this area has a high concentration of industrial parks; forming a radial axis connecting from Belt 2 of Ho Chi Minh City to Ring 4 and Duc Hoa dynamic axis (Long An).
Belt 4 of Ho Chi Minh City
Belt 4 passes through Ho Chi Minh City, Long An, Binh Duong, Dong Nai and Ba Ria - Vung Tau with a length of nearly 207km, phase one investment with a total capital of more than 127,000 billion VND.
Of which, Belt 4 through Ho Chi Minh City is 17.3km long, from the bridge over the Saigon River (Phu Thuan bridge, Binh Duong) to the bridge over Thay Cai canal (Long An province).
The route is built with 4 expressway lanes (with emergency stopping lanes throughout the route), parallel roads with 2 lanes on both sides. Ho Chi Minh City will clear the site once according to the planning of more than 74m wide.
Total project investment capital is more than 14,000 billion VND under the BOT contract. Of which, Ho Chi Minh City's budget is about 7,251 billion VND, the remaining more than 6,800 billion VND was mobilized by investors.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport, the project has completed a pre-feasibility study report, expected to submit to authorities for approval of investment policy this year, striving to start construction on April 30, 2025, completed in 2028.
