The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has just approved a fireworks display plan to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Cu Chi Geodetic Historical Site (December 19, 1995 - December 19, 2025), in An Nhon Tay commune.
Fireworks will be launched from 9:00 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. on December 19, 2025 with 90 low-altitude fireworks displays and 30 fireworks displays.
All funding is mobilized by the Cu Chi Geodetic Historical Site from socialized sources, not using the state budget.
The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee assigned the City Command to preside over and coordinate with Chemical Company Limited 21 (Ministry of National Defense) to order fireworks, ensure adequate fireworks materials and make settlement according to regulations. The City Command will develop a comprehensive plan, closely coordinate with departments, branches and localities to prepare and organize fireworks displays at the right time and location.
Ho Chi Minh City Police coordinate with the City Command to ensure security and safety throughout the transportation, preparation and fireworks display process. The City Police and local police tightened security around the event area to ensure the safety of the people.
About 70 km northwest of the center of Ho Chi Minh City, the Cu Chi Tunnels with a tunnel system of nearly 250 km long, are a solid stronghold of the Military Region Party Committee and the Saigon - Gia Dinh Command, contributing significantly to the country's reunification.
Ho Chi Minh City and relevant agencies are completing procedures to register documents to submit to UNESCO to include Cu Chi Geography in the World Heritage list.
