On the evening of March 22, the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union organized a program to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2026) and awarded the Ho Hao Hon Award in 2026.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Quoc Phong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee said that with 95 years of glorious tradition, the youth of the City named after Uncle Ho will continue to be a pioneering force in creativity, digital transformation, knowledge economy development, contributing to building Ho Chi Minh City into a smart, civilized, modern, and compassionate city, worthy of being the leading locomotive of the whole country.

Mr. Ngo Minh Hai - Secretary of the City Youth Union, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam Youth Federation emphasized that entering a new era, an era of national rise, the city's youth will continue to strongly implement revolutionary action movements with 5 key tasks.
In which, the City Youth Union identifies focusing on educating revolutionary ideals, fostering political bravery, ethics, lifestyle and awareness of law compliance for youth and children. At the same time, promote the movement "City youth pioneering in building a sustainable city, reaching out to the region and the world", with a focus on developing science and technology, improving digital capacity for youth, promoting the role of young intellectuals and young scientists; promoting startups, building a team of young entrepreneurs; preserving and promoting national culture, strengthening international integration and volunteer activities for the community.

In addition, the Youth Union organization will implement a comprehensive youth development program, improve the youth development index; at the same time, innovate and seek breakthrough solutions in Youth Union building, expand the front of gathering youth, and improve the effectiveness of Youth Union work. The city's youth also determined to actively participate in building and protecting the Party and the political system, contributing to the sustainable development of the city and the country.

Also on the evening of March 22, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union awarded the "For the Young Generation" Medal, the highest award of the Union for contributions to the cause of educating the young generation and building the Union organization for individuals.

The Ho Hao Hon Award aims to honor collectives and individuals who have made positive contributions to Youth Union work and youth and children's movements in Ho Chi Minh City. Through the appraisal and evaluation process, the Standing Committee of the City Youth Union - the Ho Hao Hon Award Appraisal Council unanimously awarded the 24th Ho Hao Hon Award, 2026 to 9 initiatives, models, and solutions of 10 collectives.
Within the framework of the program, delegates and union members and youth also reviewed the glorious tradition of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.
