In recent days, people in village 7, Hoa Ninh commune, Lam Dong province have reported the serious pollution from the pig farm of Mr. Pham Van Quyet's family.
According to information from the people, the wastewater and stench from the pig farm are seriously affecting their daily lives.

Mr. Tran Van Lam, a resident living near a pig farm, reflected that the pollution caused by the pig farm is too great. His house is only about 300 meters from the pig farm, so it is covered in pollution and cannot stand it.
"The stench of pig manure is very strong, but when Mr. Quyet's family cleaned the barn and released water into the stream, it was extremely uncomfortable. We have spoken to Mr. Quyet's family many times but they do not accept or handle it," said Mr. Lam.

Mr. Nguyen Van Tien, another resident living near the pig farm, said: Mr. Quyets family invested in building a pig farm to develop the economy, we are very in agreement. However, livestock farming must comply with environmental protection regulations. As for direct discharge into the environment as it is now, it is unacceptable.
Observed from above, Mr. Quyet's farm is divided into two areas. In the camp area, there are pits containing pig manure and wastewater, many of which are made of rough and uncovered soil.
The drainage ditch from the pig's cages is also open, making pollution worse. Wastewater from the pig farm has caused the natural stream to turn black, with a foul smell appearing in a radius of many kilometers, causing severe pollution.
Local people said that on hot days, they want to open their doors to catch the wind but have to endure the stench.
"My house is only more than 500 meters from the pig farm, but I still live with the stench all day and night. Hopefully, the government will soon inspect and handle it to restore a clean environment for us," said Mr. Pham Xuan Thang, a resident of village 7.

Mr. Ngo Van Luan, Head of Village 7 (Hoa Ninh Commune) said that the wastewater from Mr. Quyet's pig farm discharged directly into the natural stream seriously pollutes the water source.
Many fish farming households along this stream have lost tons of fish, causing economic damage. Currently, dozens of households cannot use this water source to irrigate crops. Not only that, the stench also covered the entire area, seriously affecting daily life.
Mr. Vu Quang Anh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoa Ninh Commune (Lam Dong) confirmed that he had received information about the environmental pollution caused by Mr. Quyet's pig farm.
"The People's Committee of the commune has directed the Economic Department to inspect and work with the farm owner. The locality has taken wastewater samples to determine the level of pollution. After having the results, we will notify the people and take strict measures to handle the violations," Mr. Vu Quang Anh informed.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoa Ninh commune added that in addition to discharging waste directly into the environment, the stench from the farm is quite severe. The locality is asking Mr. Quyet to reduce the pigs and invest in building waste holes to ensure compliance with regulations.
"We will have a specific report on the pollution situation and strict handling measures if the farm owner does not comply with environmental protection regulations," Mr. Vu Quang Anh emphasized.
The lives of dozens of households in village 7, Hoa Ninh commune, are threatened by pollution from pig farms. People hope that local authorities will soon intervene to ensure a clean living environment for the community.
