Audiences demand to recreate the cheers in the film

- How do you feel about the days of going on a cinetour ( interacting with the audience at the cinema) with the film crew?
- I am really happy. Having met audiences all over, received love for "Red Rain" as well as the entire crew, I feel extremely grateful. In particular, the enthusiastic support of Quang Tri people and local departments has helped the film have beautiful and touching footage.
Some audiences even shared that they have gone to see the film 10 times, which made me extremely touched. Even I myself have not seen it many times. I want more time to continue to reflect on the messages that the director sent.
- Which memories have made you especially impressed in recent cinetours?
- The special thing is that in any cinema, the audience hopes that I will repeat the "hammer" in the film. I know it is love and remembrance for the character Sen, so sometimes I also like the audience, but I often make it clear that the sound in the film carries artistic intentions and messages. It was a very memorable memory.
- When the "fever" of the movie "Red Rain" is sweeping the box office, the names of the actors have also increased. yourself were overwhelmed and surprised when you " brushed down on fame" thanks to your role in the number 1 film in the history of Vietnamese box office?
- Overwhelmed and surprisingly. But above all, I think "Red Rain" deserves this success, because of the emotions the film brings.
The success of the film brought happiness to the entire crew, but at the same time, it was also a gift of gratitude to the soldiers who sacrificed for the Fatherland.
I consider this a major turning point in my career, and also a motivation to continue participating in historical works later.
- He once shared that he had to work as a thought manager for his wife to be away from home for half a year to film "Red Rain". So now that the film is a great success, does your wife say anything about " luckily that day I decided to go to the film industry"?
- Actually, any wife wants her husband to always be by her side to share difficulties and take care of her children. During my absence, my wife had to work hard. But when the film is successful, that joy is also for the whole family. I think the happiest people are my mother, wife and children - those who are always by my side and support me.
I was silent when meeting the war invalids participating in the film

- The role of Special Striker Sen was commented by director Dang Thai Huyen as the most haunting role for the female director. Where did you get the material to transform into Sen?
- This is a huge challenge. Initially, the script was written for Sen being a person in the South, but the director later adjusted it to suit my voice. To get into the role, I researched many documents about special forces, talked with veterans, and listened to them share.
I built a biography for the character myself: origin, family circumstances, reasons for going to war... so that when playing the role, all details are reasonable and complete. Luckily, the director trusted her completely and after watching the casting, she said that no one could take on this role besides me. That is something I am very grateful for.
- In addition to your impressions of the set, how do you feel about the soldiers who step into the film "Red Rain"?
- I am not a soldier, just the son of a soldier. But thanks to the opportunity of my career, I had the opportunity to work with the regiment, and was exposed to military life, so I understand how much of their hardship is. When I made "Red Rain", I also met real special forces soldiers, who guided and practiced river swimming... Once, they thought I was a real soldier. Those experiences made me appreciate the sacrifice of my father's generation more.
- When he met the war invalids in Quang Tri participating in the film crew, how did he feel at that time?
- That was the moment that made me silent. At first, I thought they were just mass actors in costumes, but it turned out that they were veterans who fought in the ancient citadel of Quang Tri. I really don't know what to say other than thank you and wish you good health. The story they told me about the days when they were "not afraid of death, still playing freely" that I will always remember.
They help me understand how lucky I am to live in peace, and to appreciate that value even more.
