On May 11, a working delegation led by Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong - Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, visited Children's Hospital 1 to visit, encourage and give gifts to patient N.G. K (born in 2024) in the abuse case that occurred in Hoa Hiep commune.

On the same day, an inter-sectoral working delegation including the People's Procuracy of Region 14, Hoa Hiep Commune People's Committee, Trung My Tay Ward People's Committee, Vietnam Association for the Protection of Children's Rights in Ho Chi Minh City, Ho Chi Minh City Center for Social Work - Vocational Education for Teenagers visited, encouraged and presented birth certificates to baby K.
Children's Hospital 1 said that this is a case of a child patient in particularly difficult circumstances, severely abused, admitted to the hospital in a state of both physical and mental injury.
During the treatment process, the one-stop-shop model at Children's Hospital 1 and functional agencies have coordinated to review and support the completion of necessary legal procedures so that children can register for birth registration in accordance with regulations, ensuring the basic and legitimate rights of children.

Representatives of Trung My Tay Commune People's Committee directly presented the birth certificate to the patient, and at the same time, sent words of encouragement to the team of doctors, social workers and units who have made efforts to care for, protect and support the baby throughout the past time.
On this occasion, the working delegation also presented gifts to support treatment and living expenses for pediatric patients, hoping that the baby will soon recover his health, stabilize his psychology and have conditions to develop in a safe and loving environment.
Giving birth certificates to children right at the hospital has profound humanistic meaning, showing the concern of the government and the whole society in the work of protecting children, especially disadvantaged children in particularly difficult circumstances.
This is also an important starting point for pediatric patients to be better protected, have the opportunity to fully access basic rights and aim for a safer and better future.
