On August 29th, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee coordinated with the Tan Binh Ward Party Committee to award the 80-year Party Badge to Mr. Nguyen Hoang Sam on the occasion of National Day September 2nd.
On behalf of the City leaders, Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee - visited and inquired about his health, awarded the 80-year Party Badge and expressed his deep gratitude for the great contributions of veteran revolutionary Nguyen Hoang Sam.
Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Manh Cuong emphasized that the 80-year Party Badge is a recognition of the journey of striving, training and persistent sacrifice of a steadfast party member from 1948 to present.
On the occasion of National Day September 2 this year, Ho Chi Minh City had more than 10 veteran party members awarded the 80-year Party Badge. This noble badge is not only a great honor for Mr. Nguyen Hoang Sam and his family, but also a common pride of the neighborhood party cell, Tan Binh Ward Party Committee and the entire City Party Committee. Ho Chi Minh City leaders hope that Mr. Nguyen Hoang Sam will continue to maintain his health and always be a solid spiritual support for his children and younger generation.
Receiving the noble award at the age of 98, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Sam emotionally shared that throughout his work and life, he always fulfilled his responsibilities, maintained his belief and fighting spirit under the Party's flag until his last breath.
Looking back at the journey of nearly a century, Mr. Sam's eyes still sparkle with faith entrusted to the next generation. The veteran official believes that the fire of tradition will continue to be preserved and lit by young Party members and firmly move forward under the glorious Party flag.
Mr. Nguyen Hoang Sam (also known as Ba Sam), from Phu Tuc commune, Vinh Long province, participated in the revolution early and was honored to be admitted to the Party on August 1, 1948.
Throughout his career, the old man has held many positions such as enlisting in Company aa5, Battalion 333, working as a nurse for Battalion H10 Southern "main force", Head of Internal Management Department of Military Region 7, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Office, Colonel Head of Maintenance Department, Officers of Military Region 7.
From 1992 to now, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Sam has moved to participate in Party activities in the locality of neighborhood 21, Tan Binh ward, Ho Chi Minh City.
