On the afternoon of March 31, leaders of Dien Ban Tay Commune People's Committee (Da Nang City) confirmed that local authorities are issuing a notice to find relatives for a newborn baby abandoned in the area.
Previously, at about 4 am on the same day, in Cam Van Bac village, Dien Ban Tay commune, people were shocked to see a baby girl wrapped in a towel, lying in a blue plastic basket placed in front of the gate of Mr. Nguyen Hung Toan and Ms. Tran Thi Diep Hoa's house.

Next to the baby was a handwritten paper with heartbreaking words: "I am a student, I was foolish, now I gave birth to my child but I am not able to raise my child. I hope you will help raise my child. I bow my head to thank you, a thousand times thank you".
Through initial medical examination, the baby was about 20 days old, stable health, without personal papers or accompanying assets. Currently, the authorities have made a record and temporarily handed over the baby to Mr. Toan's family for care.
Dien Ban Tay Commune People's Committee announced that within 7 days (from March 31 to the end of April 6), if no relatives come to claim, the locality will carry out legal procedures regarding finding a new home or sending children to a shelter center according to the provisions of law.
