Police and militia were present to regulate traffic and support people. At deeply flooded areas, specialized vehicles are mobilized to carry people and vehicles through the danger zone.


Mr. Pham Trung (Cai Khe ward, Can Tho city) shared that he has lived here since childhood, but rarely saw the water rise as quickly and as high as this time. This is perhaps the biggest high tide since 2022.


At Ninh Kieu wharf, the city's tourism center - water from Hau River flooded, flooding riverside roads. Many business households were forced to temporarily suspend operations to move assets, limiting damage.

According to information from the Can Tho City Hydrometeorological Station, the peak tide on the evening of October 22 measured at the Hau River station reached 2.29m, exceeding alert level 3 by 0.29m. Notably, this is the highest level ever recorded, surpassing the old record of 0.02m compared to the historical peak tide on October 12, 2022 (2.27m).
