Implementing the 2-level local government model, Thu Duc City will cease operations and be reorganized into 12 new wards on the basis of arrangement from 34 existing wards.
Hiep Binh Ward was formed from the merger of Hiep Binh Chanh, Hiep Binh Phuoc Wards and part of Linh Dong Ward. With an area of 16.01 km2 and a population of over 215,000 people, this is the ward with the largest population among the 12 new wards.
The headquarters of the People's Council - People's Committee of Hiep Binh Ward is located at two addresses: No. 719 and 721 National Highway 13 (formerly the headquarters of the People's Committee and Police of Hiep Binh Phuoc Ward). The headquarters of the Party Committee - mass organizations is located at No. 2, Road No. 5.
The new Thu Duc ward was established from Linh Chieu, Binh Tho, Truong Tho wards and part of Linh Dong, Linh Tay wards. The ward area is 8.81 km2 with nearly 119,000 people. The headquarters of the People's Council - People's Committee of Thu Duc Ward is located at No. 2 Nguyen Cong Tru Street, while the headquarters of the Party Committee - mass organizations are located at No. 49 Uncle Ai Street.
Tam Binh ward (including Binh Chieu, Tam Binh, Tam Phu): Population of more than 153,000 people, area of 10.71 km2. The headquarters of the People's Council - People's Committee is at 707 To Ngoc Van Street; the headquarters of the Party Committee is at 472 To Ngoc Van Street.
Linh Xuan ward (including Linh Trung, Linh Xuan and part of Linh Tay): Population of more than 158,000 people, area of 12.29 km2. The headquarters of the People's Council - People's Committee is at 1262 Kha Van Can Street and 49 Hoang Cam Street; the headquarters of the Party Committee is at 763 Kha Van Can Street.
Tang Nhon Phu ward (including Hiep Phu, Tan Phu, Tang Nhon Phu A, Tang Nhon Phu B and part of Long Thanh My): Population of over 208,000 people, area of 16.51 km2. The headquarters of the People's Council - People's Committee is at 29 Le Van Viet Street; the headquarters of the Party Committee is at 23 Truong Van Thanh Street.
Long Binh ward (including Long Binh and part of Long Thanh My): Population of nearly 120,000 people, area of 29.43 km2. The headquarters of the People's Council - People's Committee is at 325 Nguyen Van Tang Street; the headquarters of the Party Committee is at No. 1 Tran Trong Khiem Street.
Long Phuoc ward (including Long Phuoc and Truong Thanh): The largest area of the 12 wards with 34.29 km2, population of about 53,000 people. The headquarters of the People's Council - People's Committee is at 239 Long Phuoc Street; the headquarters of the Party Committee is at 34 Ich Thanh Street.
Long Truong ward (including Long Truong and Phu Huu): Area of 24.49 km2, population of nearly 74,000 people. The headquarters of the People's Council - People's Committee is at 1341 Nguyen Duy Trinh Street; the headquarters of the Party Committee is at 893 Nguyen Duy Trinh Street.
Cat Lai Ward (including Cat Lai and Thanh My Loi): Area of 19.65 km2, population of nearly 69,000 people. The headquarters of the People's Council, People's Committee, Party Committee and mass organizations is at 45 Phan Ba Vanh Street.
Binh Trung Ward (including Binh Trung Dong, Binh Trung Tay and part of An Phu): Population of more than 121,000 people, area of 14.82 km2. The headquarters of the People's Council - People's Committee is at No. 8 Ho Thi Nhung Street; the headquarters of the Party Committee is at No. 1 Luong Dinh Cua Street.
Phuoc Long ward (including Phuoc Binh, Phuoc Long A and Phuoc Long B): Population of more than 137,000 people, area of 9.23 km2. The headquarters of the People's Council - People's Committee is at 183 Do Xuan Hop Street; the headquarters of the Party Committee is at 183A Do Xuan Hop Street.
An Khanh ward (including An Khanh, An Loi Dong, Thao Dien, Thu Thiem and part of An Phu): Area of 15.33 km2, population of nearly 77,000 people. The headquarters of the People's Council - People's Committee is at 171/1 Luong Dinh Cua Street; the headquarters of the Party Committee is at 10 D2 Street.
