Also attending, on the side of the Ministry of National Defense were General Phan Van Giang - Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense; leaders and former leaders of the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense; and leaders of a number of localities.
Also attending the ceremony were the Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army; Chief of the General Department of Politics, former Chief of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army; leaders of general departments, agencies, and units under the Ministry of National Defense, the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army; representatives of military attaches of countries in Vietnam; representatives of pre-uprising cadres, heroic Vietnamese mothers, and heroes of the People's Armed Forces.
At the ceremony, Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Standing Member of the Central Military Commission, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army - on behalf of the leaders of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, read a commemorative speech.
