Gia Lai province is urgently promoting the construction of a Center for training and developing human resources for renewable energy in Phu My Dong commune, with a total investment of about VND 2,300 billion, on a scale of more than 23 hectares. The implementation period is 66 months.
This is a key project of strategic significance, both solving the problem of shortage of high-quality human resources for the renewable energy industry and opening a new direction for green economic development and sustainable growth of the province.
The center is planned to be modern and synchronous with many items: green hydrogen factory, high-pressure oxygen treatment center, indoor and outdoor training area, exercise tower, low-rise and high-rise accommodation area, wind turbine system, solar farm and auxiliary works...
With a scale of accepting about 400 students per course and a team of more than 117 lecturers and professional staff, the project is expected to become a leading training institution in the field of green energy in Vietnam.
Phu My Dong commune has rare natural advantages, stable wind speed, abundant solar radiation, very suitable for renewable energy development. The project's establishment not only creates jobs for hundreds of on-site workers but also opens up many opportunities in the fields of services, trade, accommodation, and transportation.
In the future, the Center for Training and Development of renewable Energy Human Resources can become an international training destination, attracting students from Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar and neighboring countries, thereby enhancing Gia Lai's position on the map of cooperation in training green energy human resources.
In the context of the world's strong shift to clean energy, the project in Phu My Dong has strategic significance, affirming Gia Lai's pioneering role in green development, opening up prosperity prospects for the province.
The Center for Training and Development of renewable Energy Human Resources was approved by the People's Committee of the old Binh Dinh Province (now Gia Lai Province) for investment at the end of June 2025; approved the bidding plan on August 19.
Previously, on June 18, the old Binh Dinh province signed a memorandum of understanding on project investment cooperation with GEO Group (Germany) and O-DOOR Vietnam Co., Ltd. Then, on July 14, Quy Nhon University and these partners signed a cooperation agreement on the construction and operation of the center.
