In less than 10 months of construction since June 2025, the APEC Phu Quoc Conference and Exhibition Center invested by Sun Group has almost completed the rough structure, installing 12/13 roof spans.
At the same time, the Phu Quoc International Airport expansion project is also accelerating on many key items, showing the capacity to deploy synchronously and drastically in creating large-scale infrastructure, ready for APEC 2027.
At the APEC Multi-functional Complex project cluster, the main items have entered the stage of completing the structure and moving to technical construction.

The conference and exhibition center has reached more than 90% of the rough structure. Notably, the large-scale roof steel structure item has installed 12/13 U-shaped spans, showing that the construction progress is closely following the set plan, despite the complex technical requirements of the international-level project.
The multi-purpose theater area has now completed about 80% of the reinforced concrete structure, and at the same time started to deploy the electromechanical system (MEP), an important step to bring the project closer to the completion stage.
According to the plan, the entire exterior of the project will be completed in October 2026, before entering the interior completion phase, aiming for the overall completion milestone in early 2027, ready for APEC.
Only more than 9 months of construction, the Phu Quoc International Airport expansion investment project is also being accelerated in construction on many key items.

Runway No. 2 recorded cement concrete progress reaching 58% for the M150/25 layer, while the high-quality M350/45 layer has begun to be deployed. At passenger terminal T2, the rough structure has reached 85% and officially entered the stage of installing steel roof structure from the beginning of March 2026.
In particular, the VIP terminal, a symbolic structure for welcoming heads of state and senior leaders, has completed 100% of the rough structure, with the roof structure reaching 60%, showing that the deployment speed exceeds expectations.
Sun Group said that it has partnered with Aedas Interiors (Singapore), belonging to Aedas Group and HOK, major architectural and planning units in the world, to design the interior of T2 terminal and VIP house according to the most modern and high-class standards.

In addition, Sun Group officially joined hands with Changi Airports International to manage and operate Phu Quoc airport. According to the signed agreement, Changi Airports International will directly participate in managing and operating Phu Quoc airport. This means that the airport of Pearl Island will operate according to the standard system that made the name of Changi Airport in Singapore, an airport that has been ranked as the world's leading in terms of passenger experience for many years.
The simultaneous deployment of a series of large-scale projects, requiring high technology and urgent progress, not only shows the construction and organization capacity of Sun Group, but also reflects the determination to make Phu Quoc a destination with sufficient capacity to host leading international events.
