On November 8, at the Monument to the Heroes and Martyrs of Road 20 Quyet Thang (Thuong Trach Commune), Quang Tri Province held a visitation, memorial service and burial ceremony for the remains of martyrs that the Provincial Military Command had searched for and collected in the past.
Previously, the Provincial Military Command discovered and exhumed many remains of martyrs in the area of Provincial Road 562 (Road 20 Quyet Thang), in Thuong Trach commune.
In a solemn and emotional atmosphere, delegates offered incense and flowers in memory, expressing their deep gratitude for the heroic sacrifice of the young volunteers and soldiers who fell while on duty to open the 20 Quyet Thang route.
The memorial temple for the heroic martyrs of Road 20 Quyet Thang is located in Thuong Trach commune. Next to the memorial temple is the Hang Tam Co relic, which was restored by the local government and was ranked as a National Historical Site in 2013.
Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper published a series of articles "Hang Tam Co - Red address hoping to be worthy of a relic" - a journey back to history, paying tribute to those who fell on the legendary route 20 - Quyet Thang. Nam Co Cave is located next to the Memorial Temple for the Heroes and Martyrs of Road 20 Quyet Thang.
