On the afternoon of June 7, the Traffic Police Department of Long An Province Police said that it is coordinating with functional forces to examine the scene, collect information, and investigate the cause of the traffic accident on National Highway 1 that killed 2 people on the spot.
According to initial information, at around 3:30 p.m. the same day, Ms. T.H.U (20 years old, living in Cang Long district, Tra Vinh province) was driving a car with license plate 84L1-492.xx carrying Ms. S.T.T.T (25 years old, living in the same locality) traveling on National Highway, from Ho Chi Minh City to the West.
When reaching the section in Ben Luc town, Ben Luc district (Long An), it rained, causing the road to be slippery, the motorbike was turned, causing 2 people to fall onto the road, thrown off the colliding vehicle and a container truck with license plate 51D-341.xx driven by T.V.H (40 years old, residing in Thanh Hoa province), traveling in the same direction overturned, causing both of them to die on the spot.
The accident occurred on the weekend, when vehicles traveling from Ho Chi Minh City to the West were crowded, causing traffic congestion for about 2km.
Upon receiving the report, the Traffic Police of Long An Province Police arrived at the scene to regulate and collect information for the investigation.
