"During the past term, the Da Nang City Youth Union has organized more than 10,000 volunteer activities, with over 2 million union members and young people participating. Thereby, 24 city-level youth projects and nearly 9,500 grassroots youth projects have been built. The total value of the projects is over 43 billion VND", Mr. Le Cong Hung shared.
In addition, caring for children in difficult circumstances is also a bright spot, with nearly 25 billion VND mobilized to help more than 772,000 children. Thousands of young volunteers have also volunteered to go through many difficulties, present at natural disaster and flood hotspots to support people.
Speaking at the congress, Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet - Secretary of the Central Youth Union, President of the Central Youth Union of Vietnam - suggested that Da Nang youth must play a pioneering role in 5 pioneering areas, especially in innovation, digital transformation and building a model of "Digital Governance - Smart City".
On the side of the city's leaders, Mr. Ngo Xuan Thang - Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee - also emphasized the expectation that young people will be the core force, a pioneer in science and technology, building a team of "young engineers" and "digital citizens" to realize the goal of making Da Nang a national growth zone.
In the new term of 2025-2030, Da Nang Youth aims to mobilize 3 million union members and young people to participate in volunteer activities; carry out 2,000 youth projects and plant at least 1 million new trees each year, continuing to affirm its role as a shock and creativity for the community.
