Regarding the above issue, the Department of Construction of Bac Ninh province has the following response:
1. For the Bac Ninh City - Bac Giang City electric bus route:
Currently, the Department of Construction is implementing the selection of contractors to provide public passenger transport services by electric bus on the route of Bac Ninh city - Bac Giang city (old); after selecting a contractor to provide passenger transport services (expected in the first quarter of 2025).
When the route is put into operation and exploitation, the Department of Construction of Bac Ninh province will announce specifically on the mass information system so that the people can know and participate.
- Regarding route names: Due to the rearrangement of provincial-level administrative units, commune-level administrative units, and wards according to the two-level local government organization model, some contents related to the route's place names will be changed; the Department of Construction has organized a review and adjustment of the route's place names according to the actual commune and ward names to submit to the Provincial People's Committee for approval; the new route name will be Vu Ninh - Bac Giang route, regarding the route between the former according to the plan approved by the Provincial People's Committee.
2. For the Bac Ninh - Noi Bai electric bus route
The old Bac Ninh - Noi Bai route has been approved by the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province for the route's operation plan in Decision No. 689/QD-UBND dated April 22, 2025; with the purpose of connecting the old Bac Ninh Provincial Administrative Center with Noi Bai airport, Hanoi city.
However, after the merger of the two provinces of the old Bac Ninh and the old Bac Giang into the new Bac Ninh province, the new Administrative Center of the new Bac Ninh province is no longer located in Bac Ninh city, the old Bac Ninh province but is located in the old Bac Giang city, the old Bac Giang province.
Therefore, to ensure the exploitation of the route is achieved effectively, avoiding wasting the State budget when putting the route into operation; the Department of Construction is directing the Department's professional department to coordinate with relevant units to review and study the route plan suitable for the administrative boundaries of Bac Ninh province after the arrangement to report to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and approval of implementation in the coming time (if appropriate).
