The program aims to honor outstanding individuals throughout the force, who are directly contributing to the task of managing and protecting national territorial sovereignty and border security.
Attending the program were Lieutenant General Nguyen Anh Tuan, Secretary of the Party Committee, Political Commissar of the Border Guard; Major General Vu Quoc An, Deputy Political Commissar of the Border Guard; representatives of units under the Border Guard force.
On the side of the Central Youth Union, there was Mr. Nguyen Tuong Lam, Secretary of the Central Youth Union, Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Federation.
According to the Border Guard Command, in the past year, youth work has been deployed synchronously, creating an environment for union members and youth to train, contribute and grow.
With the spirit of "sticking to the area, being close to the people", Border Guard youth implement the motto "eating together, living together, working together, speaking the same ethnic language", contributing to consolidating military-civilian relations and building a national border defense.

In 2025, from 35 nominations including 32 officers, 2 professional soldiers and 1 non-commissioned officer, the selection council selected 20 individuals for commendation.
Including 10 "Typical Young Faces" and 10 "Promising Young Faces".
The nominated individuals are aged 21 to 33, from many fields of work such as politics, staff, border gates, reconnaissance, drug and crime prevention, military medicine, finance, sports, naval commanders, captains... belonging to units in all three regions of North, Central, and South.
At the commendation ceremony, young officers and soldiers exchanged and shared experiences, advantages and difficulties in the process of performing tasks, and at the same time proposed solutions to improve the quality of youth union work and youth movements at the unit.


Speaking at the program, Lieutenant General Nguyen Anh Tuan praised the achievements of the youth of the entire force and 20 faces commended this year.
He requested Party committees and commanders at all levels in the Border Guard to continue to innovate the content of youth union activities, replicate effective models, good practices and advanced examples. Youth union organizations need to operate in a focused and key direction, suitable to the specific characteristics of each unit.
Lieutenant General Nguyen Anh Tuan emphasized that each young officer and soldier needs to continue to train their bravery, cultivate their qualities and abilities, strive to become "both red and professional" border guard officers, contributing to firmly protecting national border sovereignty.
