The traffic road project from the old Ha Trung district center to the old Bim Son town center (now from Ha Trung commune to Bim Son ward, Thanh Hoa province) has a length of nearly 7km, with a total investment of 500 billion VND.
The project started at the end of 2022, invested by the former Ha Trung District Construction Investment Project Management Board. After implementing the 2-level local government model, the project was handed over to the Thanh Hoa Provincial Agricultural and Rural Development Construction Investment Project Management Board.
According to the initial plan, the project was expected to be completed and put into use in 2024. However, after a period of construction, the project fell into a state of delay.
According to records of Lao Dong Newspaper reporters at the beginning of September 2026, the new project mainly constructs road embankment, bridge construction and some items in some locations. Many sections have not been constructed further, weeds and reeds are growing rampant.
Talking to a reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Trinh Hong Son - Chairman of Ha Trung Commune People's Committee, Thanh Hoa province said that a part of the project passes through the commune. Up to now, the project progress is slower than the initial plan.
The main reason for the slow progress is obstacles in site clearance. The project affects about 80 households in the area. Among them, many households have received compensation money, some households have not agreed to receive money because they have not agreed on the plan and there is no resettlement area" - Mr. Son said.
Also according to Mr. Son, in addition to the land area of households, the project also affects some public assets in the area. Currently, the locality has requested relevant departments and branches to guide the handling plan for these assets.
Faced with the fact that the project is behind schedule, Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has adjusted the implementation time, requiring the project to be completed in 2027.
To ensure progress according to the plan assigned by the Provincial People's Committee, the Project Management Board for Investment and Construction of Agricultural and Rural Development Projects of Thanh Hoa province has requested localities with roads passing through to focus on completing site clearance and removing obstacles to soon continue project implementation.
