New road in Hanoi more than 2km long, named Ly Trien

Hanoi - The 2.12km long road in Chuong My ward is named Ly Trien.

Hanoi City People's Council has passed a resolution on naming and adjusting the length of some roads, streets and public works in the area.

The city named Ly Trien street for the section from the intersection of Bien Giang road at Yen Phuc residential group to the intersection at Phu My communal house relic (Phu My residential group).

The road is 2.12km long, 7m wide (5m road surface; 1m sidewalk on each side).

Asphalt road, no urban green trees and lighting, located in Chuong My ward, intersecting with Dong Dau street, passing through Phu My communal house relic, Cau Duong Intermediate School and Vocational Training of Corps 12. Residential area is about 1,721 people.

Ly Trien (? -1427) is the founding meritorious mandarin of the Le Early Dynasty in Vietnamese history.

According to official historical documents, Ly Trien was from Bai Do village, Loi Duong district (Xuan Bai, Tho Xuan district), Thanh Hoa.

He and his father, Ly Ba Lao, joined the Lam Son insurgents from the early days.

In 1420, Ly Trien commanded the blockade of the invaders in Muong Thoi (Tay Thanh Hoa).

In the winter of 1422, together with Pham Van and Le Van Linh, they committed suicide to attack the Minh army in Quan Da, slashed General Phung Quy, and destroyed more than 1,000 enemies.

In mid-1425, the commander of the rear army sent Dinh Le to Dien Chau and Thanh Hoa.

September 1426, sending troops to Quang Oai, Quoc Oai, Gia Hung, Quy Hoa, then attacking the enemy in Nhan Muc (Hanoi) to participate in the Tot Dong - Chuc Dong campaign.

In early 1427, he stationed troops at Cua Bac Thang Long. The enemy general Phuong Chinh suddenly ambushed our army in Qua Dong (Nhat Tao - Hanoi), he sacrificed himself.

After that, he was posthumously awarded the title of Entering Tu Ma, Huu Tuong Quoc; posthumously conferred the title of Thai Bao, Ky Quan Cong (later Tay Ky Vuong).

Currently, in the area of the road named "Ly Trien", there are 4 relics worshiping Ly Trien (including 2 relics that have been ranked by the State).
