On April 20, all communes, wards and towns in Tuyen Quang simultaneously held a meeting to collect public opinions on the plan to merge commune-level administrative units and merge the two provinces of Tuyen Quang and Ha Giang.
District and city leaders and professional department staff directly visited and directed the villages.
The meetings are organized in accordance with the provisions of Article 18 of the Law on Grassroots Democracy and Decree No. 59/2023/ND-CP. From notifying each household in advance, preparing documents, to the content of discussion and voting at the meeting.
According to the plan, the People's Committees of communes will report the results of the consultation to the District People's Committee no later than 8:00 p.m. on April 20. The District People's Committee shall report to the Provincial People's Committee no later than 10:00 on April 21.
