Information from Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee said that as of August 20, 2026, the whole province has 1,595 redundant houses and land facilities that need to be handled, an increase of 467 facilities compared to before due to stricter and more complete review.
Among these, mainly school sites with 1,122 facilities and working headquarters, village cultural houses with 473 facilities. To date, Tuyen Quang province has completed handling 1,494/1,595 facilities, reaching nearly 94%.
Departments, branches and localities have transferred 1,268 facilities to be used as headquarters, schools, health stations, cultural institutions and public works. 101 facilities are continuing to be handled according to regulations.
In addition to arranging and using surplus houses and land, Tuyen Quang province has leased 24/33 facilities, creating a stable source of revenue for the budget.
According to the recommendations of departments, branches, and localities, some surplus facilities are scattered in remote and isolated areas, with poor infrastructure, making it difficult to attract investors. The process and procedures for land, auctions and valuation take a lot of time, making the handling progress slow.
Vice Chairman of Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee Do Anh Tuan requested departments, branches, and localities to absolutely not let public assets be left vacant, degraded, or abandoned. At the same time, it is necessary to raise the responsibility of the heads, not to let the situation of pushing, avoiding, and delaying occur.
Chairmen of People's Committees of communes and wards and heads of agencies must be directly responsible to the Provincial People's Committee for the management and use of surplus assets, houses, and land. Prioritize the use of these facilities for health, education, culture, sports, security, national defense and facilities serving the people.
