Implementing the provisions of the 2024 Law on Social Insurance, Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance has just issued a notice to pension and social insurance allowance beneficiaries in the area on a number of contents related to authorizing receipt on behalf of and verifying beneficiary information.
For cases of authorizing others to receive pensions and social insurance allowances on behalf of others, the authorization document signed from July 1, 2025 is valid for 12 months from the date of signing.
For power of attorney documents signed before July 1, 2025, if they expire before June 30, 2026, they are valid until the expiration date stated on the document; if they expire after June 30, 2026, they are only valid until the end of June 30, 2026.
Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance noted that beneficiaries or authorized persons need to proactively re-establish new authorization documents before or immediately in the expiring month, in order to avoid affecting the receipt of monthly pensions and social insurance allowances.
In addition, for people enjoying social insurance benefits through personal accounts opened at banks, periodically every year, they are responsible for coordinating with the social insurance agency or authorized service organization to verify information that meets the conditions for enjoyment.
In case the information of the beneficiary cannot be verified, the social insurance agency will temporarily suspend the payment of monthly pensions and social insurance allowances according to regulations.
Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance requests people receiving pensions and social insurance allowances to proactively check the validity of the authorization, and at the same time coordinate to verify information on time; when there are problems, contact the nearest social insurance agency for timely support, ensuring their rights.
