On the morning of October 16, information from the People's Committee of Hoang Mai Ward, Nghe An Province said that a traffic accident had just occurred in the area, injuring 3 people.
According to initial information, at around 9:00 p.m. on October 15, at the newly opened intersection near Hoang Mai Post Office (in Thinh My block, Hoang Mai ward), three motorbikes traveling in the North - South direction suddenly collided strongly. The collision damaged the vehicles, 2 people suffered minor injuries and 1 person suffered serious injuries and was taken to Quang Khoi General Hospital for emergency treatment.
This new intersection has been expanded to about 1.5m to serve the travel needs of the people, replacing the old walkway in front of Quang Khoi Hospital. However, since its use, the area has continuously had accidents, becoming a "black spot" for traffic with high potential risks.
Local people said that in a short time, there were 4 accidents here, of which 2 caused serious injuries. The reason is believed to be that the area has no warning signs, no fences and limited visibility, especially dangerous at night.
Currently, the authorities are investigating and clarifying the cause of the accident.
