On October 11, the Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police (PC08) said that in the first 10 months of 2025, the traffic accident situation in the area managed by the An Suong Traffic Police Team has decreased compared to the same period.
However, recently, there have been consecutive serious accidents at major intersections, in which the victims are mostly women driving motorbikes.
Typically, on September 3, at the Duong Thi Muoi - Truong Thi Hoa intersection, a collision between a motorbike and a truck killed two women. Then, on October 6, at the intersection of Le Quang Dao - Le Thi Ha, a similar incident between a tanker truck and a motorbike driven by a woman also caused the victim to die on the spot.
Most recently, on October 10, at the intersection of Le Quang Dao - Nguyen Thi Tren, an accident occurred between a bus and a motorbike, the victim was also a woman.
Initial investigation results determined the cause of the motorbike changing direction, entering the blind spot of the truck and bus, while the driver of the large vehicle was not paying attention.
In this situation, the An Suong Traffic Police Team has increased patrols and strictly handled violations that are direct causes of accidents, especially at intersections.
On October 10, the unit recorded more than 15 violations, including walking on the sidewalk, running red lights, going in the wrong direction, entering prohibited roads and not obeying traffic signs.
The An Suong Traffic Police Team also recommends that people: Follow traffic signals, keep a safe distance, do not speed and overtake recklessly, avoid going into blind spots of trucks and container trucks; Absolutely do not drive after drinking alcohol and proactively equip themselves with safe driving skills.
"Each citizen should voluntarily comply with traffic laws for the safety of themselves and the community," emphasized the representative of the Traffic Police Department.
