The Tran Yen Industrial Park construction groundbreaking project is one of the important and key projects selected by the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of Lao Cai province to start construction to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of the Founding of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
Tran Yen Industrial Park Phase I is built on an area of 254.59 hectares, with a total investment of over VND 2,184 billion, and is planned to synchronously have technical infrastructure, transportation, power supply, water supply, and wastewater treatment.
The project is invested by Viglacera Corporation - JSC, implemented in Bao Hung and Minh Quan communes, Tran Yen district, the old Yen Bai province (now Au Lau ward, Lao Cai province).
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Trinh Xuan Truong - Secretary of Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee emphasized that with the vision of being a center for trade connectivity between Vietnam, ASEAN and Southwest China, Lao Cai province has reshaped the space for socio-economic development with a clear and synchronous strategic mindset towards: "One driving axis, two development poles, three economic regions, four development pillars - a complete structure, supporting each other to create overall strength, green, harmonious development, identity, happiness".
The groundbreaking of the Tran Yen Industrial Park Project along with projects simultaneously started in Lao Cai province is a step to concretize the province's strategic vision in developing industry and logistics services, affirming the will and aspiration to rise up of Lao Cai province.
Tran Yen Industrial Park is located in an extremely favorable location, near the Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway, on the Con Minh (Van Nam, China) - Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong - Quang Ninh economic corridor and especially the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong high-speed railway line under construction.
After completion, Tran Yen Industrial Park is expected to attract many domestic and foreign secondary investors, creating jobs for tens of thousands of workers, improving people's income and life, increasing budget revenue, contributing to shifting the economic structure towards industrialization - modernization and creating new growth momentum for the southern region of Lao Cai province.
The Lao Cai Provincial Party Secretary suggested that localities focus all resources to ensure the set progress; speed up site clearance, create all favorable conditions for investors regarding legal procedures and clean site for project construction.
For investors, Mr. Trinh Xuan Truong suggested focusing resources to continue implementing the project to ensure quality and progress as committed, applying advanced technology, green construction solutions, saving energy, protecting the environment; complying with legal regulations on planning, land, investment, construction, labor safety, environmental protection and related regulations.
