The accident occurred at 8:10 p.m. on September 6 at km38+900 of National Highway 10 in An Quang Commune, Hai Phong City. At this time, Mr. P.V.T (born in 1976, residing in Ninh Binh province) was driving a tractor-trailer in the direction of Hung Yen - Hai Phong and collided with a motorbike driven by Mr. N.T.C (born in 1994, residing in Vinh Bao commune, Hai Phong city) going in the opposite direction. As a result, Mr. C died on the spot.
The authorities determined that the initial cause of the accident was that Mr. C was driving the vehicle without paying attention. The area where the accident occurred had a curved road, narrowing the bottleneck.
According to local people, Mr. C was a worker and had an accident while on his way to work the night shift.
Also according to the Traffic Safety Committee of Hai Phong City, on September 6, there were 4 traffic accidents in the city, killing 3 people and injuring 2 others.
