The incident occurred at 5:50 am on February 10 at km9 of National Highway 38B in Don Thu village, Truong Tan commune. At this time, a tractor-trailer (driver's identity unknown) moving in the direction of Thanh Mien commune to Gia Loc commune collided with a motorbike driven by Mr. V.V.N (born in 1957, residing in Truong Tan commune) in the direction of Gia Loc commune to Thanh Mien, which was turning left onto the road into Phu Thanh urban area. As a result, Mr. N died on the spot.
The preliminary cause is that the tractor-trailer driver did not slow down at the intersection of the road. Mr. N changed direction unsafely. Currently, the case is continuing to be investigated and handled according to regulations.
Previously, on February 4, there were also 2 traffic collisions related to trailer trucks in the city. As a result, 2 motorcyclists were injured. The causes of both incidents were related to the fault of the trailer truck.
