The incident happened at 8:15 PM on January 22 at km32+400 National Highway 18 in Chu Van An ward. Mr. T.V.L (born in 1997) was driving a truck in the direction of Bac Ninh to Quang Ninh, sitting in the passenger seat was Mr. P.B.N (born in 2000, residing in Bac Ninh province). At the above location, Mr. L's car collided with a dump truck driven by Mr. P.T.S (born in 1973, residing in Chu Van An ward) going in the opposite direction, turning left into the Van An Urban Area construction site. As a result, the collision killed Mr. S on the way to the hospital.
Also according to the City Traffic Safety Board, on January 22, 6 traffic accidents occurred in Hai Phong City, killing 4 people and injuring 3 others. In addition to the above-mentioned accident, 3 other serious incidents occurred in Phu Lien ward, Nguyen Giap commune and Pham Su Manh ward. Currently, the causes of the accidents are being investigated and clarified by functional forces.
