On the evening of May 13, Hai Phong held a ceremony to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation Day - Heroic City (May 13,55 - May 13, 2025) and the art program "Hai Phong - 70 years of faith and aspiration to rise up" to open the Red Phuong Flower Festival - Hai Phong 2025. At the Hai Phong City Political - Administrative Center Square in the North of Cam River Urban Area, people and tourists were present very early.
Ms. Dinh Thi Van (82 years old, Phu Tho province) and her family have been in the stands since 6pm. Ms. Van said: "At this time, I went to Hai Phong to visit relatives and was taken by my children to see the Red Phuong Flower Festival. Although I live far away, I have a great relationship with Hai Phong, and I hope to attend the Red Phuong Flower Festival once. Now that my wish has come true, I am very happy".
On the evening of 13.5, at the 70th anniversary of the Liberation Day, Hai Phong City will receive the title of "Hero City". The art of the opening of the Red Phoenix Flower Festival includes 3 chapters: "Hai Phong - Dia Loi Kiet"; "The song Trung Dung, determined to win"; and "Hai Phong - Faith and aspiration to reach out", depicting the important historical marks of Hai Phong from ancient times, undergoing the construction and defense of the Fatherland to this day.
Hai Phong City also arranged modern LED sound and light screens at 6 fireworks display locations to serve the live broadcast of the ceremony and the largest art program ever.
