On April 16, at the Giai Phong - Dai La intersection (Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi City), the task force of the Traffic Police Team No. 4, the Traffic Police Department conducted violations such as motorbike ride on the sidewalk, went in the opposite direction and passed the red light.
One of the causes of violations is that in this area, the vehicle is allowed to turn right from Dai La road to liberation. However, at some point, the vehicles stop waiting for traffic lights but not in the prescribed position, causing local congestion. Many motorbike drivers deliberately went on the sidewalk to overcome the congestion.
Lieutenant Colonel Tu Ngoc Minh, officer of the Traffic Police Team No. 4 said: The behavior of going in the opposite direction, driving a motorbike on the sidewalk not only endangers the road users but also makes the public pressing. Currently, the sanctioning level for these acts ranges from 4 to 6 million. This is a manifestation of disregarding the law, belonging to the sense of traffic participation and needing strictly handled.
During the morning shift on April 16, the working group discovered and handled 10 violations, including 2 cases in the opposite direction and 8 cases of motorbike driving on the sidewalk. All are temporarily detained through VNEID application.
Lieutenant Colonel Tran Ngoc Trung - Captain of Traffic Police No. 4 said that holding papers through VNEID instead of temporarily seizing vehicles to help avoid cumbersome procedures such as sealing and storing vehicles. "In the past, many violations left the vehicle due to the higher the fine than the property value. With the new method, this behavior has decreased significantly," Lieutenant Colonel Trung said.
