With the determination not to let the work of ensuring urban order (TTĐT) have "bottleneck" or "stop points" during the Tet holidays, the Hanoi City Police mobilized 100% of the Order Police force to deploy to perform tasks, maintain security and order, maintain urban beauty; and at the same time promote propaganda, reminders, and raise people's awareness of compliance in implementing regulations on TTĐT.
During the Lunar New Year, the Police force of units and localities focuses on strictly handling acts of encroaching on roads and sidewalks; stopping and parking vehicles in violation of regulations; business activities causing traffic obstruction and urban unsightliness. Resolutely handle establishments taking advantage of holidays and Tet to violate urban order and safety, causing public outrage and affecting the image of a civilized and modern Capital.
In 2 days, February 18 and 19 (ie, the 2nd and 3rd days of the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year), Hanoi City Police recorded 115 violations through "remote fines" images.
Of which, 49 cases were detected through AI camera systems; 66 cases were recorded through direct feedback from individuals and organizations in 13 communes and wards.
The areas recorded many violations include: Cua Nam ward (15 cases), Ha Dong ward (11 cases).
At the same time, the Police of 126 communes and wards strengthened patrol and control forces to close the area, promptly detecting and strictly handling violations.
As a result, 63 cases of administrative violations of urban order were handled, with a total fine of 151,775,000 VND. In which: 51 cases were directly fined through patrols and inspections with the amount of 118,255,000 VND; 12 cases were fined through the form of "cold fines" with the amount of 33,250,000 VND.
In order to maximize the entertainment and spring travel needs of the people during Tet, and at the same time ensure that urban order is maintained, the police of communes and wards have proactively advised the Steering Committee 197 - People's Committees at the same level to organize many free vehicle parking points to serve the people.
Typical points such as: Phu Tay Ho (Tay Ho), Dinh Kim Lien (Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam), Dinh Quan Thanh (Ba Dinh); campuses of Trung Vuong, Tran Phu - Hoan Kiem, Ngo Si Lien, Viet Duc schools (Cua Nam); Phuc Khanh Pagoda (Dong Da); Van Quan Stadium, Nguyen Du Elementary School (Ha Dong); Public Administration Center, Department of Education - Training, Political Training Center... (Son Tay).
The arrangement of free parking spots has contributed to reducing traffic pressure, limiting illegal parking and illegal fee collection; and creating favorable conditions for people to visit and worship at pagodas at the beginning of the year in a safe and civilized atmosphere.
To ensure urban order, traffic safety and aesthetics of the Capital during Tet and the early spring festival season, Hanoi City Police recommends that people not encroach on roads and sidewalks for business and trading; do not display goods for sale or place objects that obstruct traffic.
Do not stop or park vehicles in violation of regulations, especially on central streets, festival areas, relics, and public entertainment venues.
Only park at legal parking spots; absolutely do not park at spontaneous spots, with unclear parking units.
Follow the instructions of functional forces; do not gather to cause congestion; proactively choose appropriate means of transport when going to temples and spring festivals.
When detecting violations of urban order, the situation of illegal parking, illegal fee collection..., it is requested that people promptly report to the local police or functional agencies for handling according to regulations.
