Accordingly, each customer is given 20,000 VND into their account to call, text and access data to maintain communication during emergencies.
Previously, Viettel Telecom quickly implemented support policies for nearly 4 million customers in areas forecast to be affected by storm Wipha. Policies include: promotion of card relocation for 20% of data usage fee, postponement of cutting of features, introduction of suitable incentive packages to help customers maintain communication throughout the storm.
"We will continue to review and promptly issue appropriate support and customer care policies to accompany people in disaster areas," affirmed a representative of Viettel Telecom.
Open roaming to Viettel network in 27 isolated communes

Due to the impact of Typhoon Wipha, widespread heavy rain and rising floodwaters caused thousands of houses in communes on the Nghe An border to be deeply flooded, cutting off traffic.
Under the direction of the Ministry of Science and Technology, since July 23, Viettel Network Corporation has opened roaming and telecommunications signal connection so that users of all networks can communicate via Viettel signal in isolated areas. Specifically, Viettel has opened roaming in 16 communes in Nghe An border area and today (July 24), it will continue to add 11 more communes to increase the total number of 27 communes roaming into Viettel network, ensuring that mobile subscribers in these areas basically maintain operations, meeting communication needs for rescue work.
Ready to use Drones to broadcast mobile to serve rescue work

In addition, Viettel Network Corporation has prepared a solution to use drones combined with satellite transmission. Drones fly at an altitude of hundreds of meters, creating a coverage area with a radius of 6 km, can reach flooded areas, landslides or sheltered mountain terrain in isolated routes, broadcasting vehicles cannot reach, ensuring smooth communication to serve search and rescue work and people in this area.
Viettel also mobilized hundreds of information rescue teams for stations and cables; handled fixed broadband subscriber incidents and repaired generators to support provinces affected by natural disasters. At the same time, reserve information rescue supplies to be ready in all situations./.
