Special award for environmental robot creators

The robot creation project that helps treat and store clean water for salt-flooded areas in the Southwest region of the Companion team (from My Phuoc Secondary School, Binh Duong) has excellently won the championship of Group B4 (Future Innovator - Future Creators) in the Robotacon WRO 2024 competition. They will become one of the teams representing Vietnam to attend the world robot competition that will take place in Turkey and Singapore this coming November, and at the same time, also won the "Raising the bar" award given by Vinamilk to teams with breakthrough creativity.
Vinamilk's "Raising the bar" award focuses on sustainable development technology, for teams that excellently complete unexpected exam questions inspired by Vinamilk; and the team has creative ideas, solving urgent environmental problems, to encourage the spirit of progress and willingness to break through one's own abilities.
Nguyen Ngoc Mai An, a member of the Companion team, shared that the reason the team chose the robot project to process and store clean water for people in the Southwest region is because of the desire to contribute a small part to improving the quality of water. The drought and salinity situation here helps people avoid the hardship of having to conserve every drop of water for daily living. "It's surprising that my team's model received the "Raising the bar" award from Vinamilk. My team never thought they could receive this award and really appreciate the award for encouraging ideas for the environment and sustainable development ," Mai An added.

“I directly experienced the exciting and fierce atmosphere of the competition and was extremely surprised by the students' talents in programming, automation and creativity. This makes me even more confident in the future generations of Vietnam. We hope that you will always nurture the spirit of "Boldness", "Determination" and "Always be yourself" in your creative learning journey, to constantly create success not only for yourself, but also for yourself. It also helps make the community and life better," Mr. Nguyen Quang Tri, Executive Director of Marketing Vinamilk, shared.
The biggest reward is knowledge and experience
Accompanying the contest for more than a month before the new school year, Vinamilk and the organizing committee brought contestants a playground for thinking and practical approaches to applying robots to sustainable development activities, through examples. For example, at Vinamilk Green Farm and modern Vinamilk factories. From there, it contributes to inspiring, provoking creativity and finding solutions, applying technology for production and life activities towards environmental protection and sustainable development.
Through that, they also understand better that not only winning a contest, the biggest "reward" they get is a journey of creativity, experience, acquiring knowledge and exploring their own abilities. me.

Vinamilk Green Farm is the main companion brand in this event. In addition to receiving nutritional support to compete at their best, young players also learn about sustainable agricultural practices at Green Farm and Vinamilk's modern factory.
For example, at Vinamilk's largest liquid milk factory, automatic LGV robots are used to transport, lift and stack finished product pallets into the warehouse. These robots are programmed and automatically calculate the most optimal travel path, helping to save energy and reduce emissions. These applications are also the inspiration for the organizers to design surprising exam questions for Robotacon WRO 2024 candidates. Accessing real-life examples from Vinamilk farms and factories helps students better understand sustainable development.
Commenting on the quality of this year's competition, Mr. Pham Ngoc Tien, Head of the professional advisory board of the Robotacon WRO 2024 competition, assessed: "The topics bring challenges in both robot design and programming skills and thinking." Logical thinking, teamwork skills, problem solving and social understanding for Robotacon warriors. In particular, this year there is a surprise exam simulating operations at factories and green farms, challenging the teams' ability to respond to find technological solutions for production and sustainable development, raising awareness environmental protection” .

Accompanying her child continuously from the Southern finals and the national finals, Ms. Nhu Quynh (parent of baby Hung Anh - group HONGBANG1, also the 2023 Robotacon champion and top 6 in the world finals in Panama), shared: “Every year the competition has many surprises and innovations. This year, the organizers also coordinated with Vinamilk to take children to visit the farm and factory. I think it will help children gain more knowledge about how the milk carton they drink is made and how to apply what they are learning about robotics and automation in real life. I feel very good and meaningful."
This year, the Robotatcon WRO competition has found the 13 best teams (8-19 years old) to represent Vietnam to attend the World Robot Olympiad competition taking place in Türkiye (in November 2024); and 20 teams (6-10 years old) representing Vietnam participated in the international robot creation competition in Singapore with the companion of Vinamilk.
