During the firefighting and rescue process at Volume Club, functional forces discovered a victim dead inside the shop.
Previously, at about 10:20 am on May 11, a fire suddenly broke out at Volume Club on Phu My street, Tu Liem ward, Hanoi. Functional forces then controlled and extinguished the fire. The initial cause was determined to be an electrical short circuit.
According to initial information, at the time of the incident, people in the area discovered smoke rising from inside the shop. A few minutes later, many people inside shouted for a big fire, smoke quickly covered the building accompanied by many small explosions continuously.
Upon receiving the news, the Fire and Rescue Police Department of Hanoi City Police dispatched nearly 10 fire trucks and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene to deploy fire fighting and rescue operations.
At the scene, functional forces cordoned off the surrounding area to serve firefighting work, and at the same time organized a search for people who may still be trapped inside the shop at 10 Phu My, Tu Liem ward.
Initial records show that a column of black smoke rose tens of meters high, spreading to the surrounding area. Many curious people gathered to watch the incident, causing traffic through the area to encounter difficulties. By noon of the same day, the fire was basically under control.
Currently, the cause of the fire is being further investigated and clarified by functional agencies.
