More than 2 hours after the fire at Volume Club karaoke bar on Phu My street, Tu Liem ward, functional forces controlled and extinguished the fire. The initial cause was determined to be an electrical short circuit.

Previously, at about 10:15 am on May 11, a fire suddenly broke out at Volume Club karaoke bar, address No. 10 Phu My street, causing many people in the area to panic.

According to initial information, at the time of the incident, the karaoke establishment was temporarily suspending operations for repairs for about a week now.

Witnesses at the scene said that initial smoke rose from inside the karaoke bar and quickly spread, accompanied by many small explosions. Discovering the incident, people shouted and reported it to the functional forces.

Upon receiving the news, the Fire and Rescue Police Department of Hanoi City Police dispatched nearly 10 fire trucks and many officers and soldiers to the scene to organize firefighting and rescue.

At the scene, functional forces urgently deployed firefighting measures, and at the same time approached deep inside the construction to inspect and search for trapped people.
