Hanoi - Regarding the collision between a bus and a motorcyclist on the morning of May 4, functional forces have identified the initial cause.

In the afternoon of May 4, information from the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) - Hanoi City Police, at about 6:45 am on May 4, bus route No. 48, license plate 29E-208. xx driven by Mr. N.A. T (born in 1985, residing in Hanoi), was moving on Nguyen Van Cu street in the direction from Cau Chui to Cau Chuong Duong.

When arriving at the Nguyen Van Cu - Nguyen Son intersection, the bus collided with a motorbike with license plate 29AD-293. xx driven by Ms. D. T. H. G (born 1991, residing in Hanoi), which was stopping at a red light in front.

Upon receiving the news, Road Traffic Police Team No. 5 coordinated with Bo De Ward Police to urgently send officers to the scene, organize traffic diversion and handle the incident.

At the scene, Ms. G was trapped under the bus. Functional forces coordinated with people to lift the vehicle, promptly take the victim out and transfer her to the emergency room.

According to the Hanoi Traffic Police Department, Ms. G was injured and is currently being treated at Duc Giang General Hospital, her health is stable and not life-threatening.

Through inspection, the bus driver did not violate alcohol and drug concentration (negative results).

The initial cause was determined to be that the bus driver did not slow down when reaching the intersection, and lost control of the steering wheel leading to the collision. The incident is being further investigated and clarified by functional agencies," Hanoi Traffic Police Department informed.
