Accordingly, the School Board of Directors decided to terminate the contract with the current food supplier from February 28, 2026. The reason for this is due to the discovery of discolored pork from the supplier.
The number of discolored pork that did not meet the quality requirements of the contract. Although all substandard food has been detected and returned, the incident has caused concern for parents.

The Board of Directors of Luong The Vinh Primary School sent sincere apologies for the insecurity that the recent incident caused.
The school also said that it will immediately implement a process to select a new contractor that fully meets the standards of origin, food safety and hygiene, and commits to the quality of meals for students. The school will continue to maintain and tighten food control procedures so that all meals for boarding students are always guaranteed to be safe.
Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper reported that on January 25, the incident of pork discoloration preparing to be smuggled into the kitchen of Luong The Vinh Primary School, Ben Cat ward, Ho Chi Minh City was stirred up online.
Some parents reflected that during a surprise inspection of food brought into the kitchen, the team discovered 90 kg of frozen pork ribs suspected of being of poor quality. Among them, some portions of pork had turned yellow and green. The above incident caused concern for parents about food safety and hygiene issues.
Ben Cat Ward People's Committee affirmed that all 90 kg that did not meet quality requirements had been recorded and returned to the supplier, Phuc Hau Company.
