On the evening of February 16 (December 29th of the lunar calendar), in Phu Quoc special zone, An Giang province, the Command (BTL) of Coast Guard Region 4 organized a New Year's Eve celebration for the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026.
Attending the program were comrades in the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, heads of the Regional Command; heads of agencies, units and officers and soldiers of the Regional Command's agency block, Naval Flotilla 401; families of soldiers in Phu Quoc special zone and affiliated units of agencies and units.
At the New Year's Eve welcoming program, Major General Dao Ba Viet, Commander of Coast Guard Region 4, spoke to wish Tet to officers and soldiers. In the program, the Region Command awarded prizes to units that won prizes in the Spring room decoration contest; organized cultural and artistic activities, collective games; democratic flower picking combined with propaganda about the Vietnam Coast Guard force and the Region Command. Thereby, building for officers and soldiers to have the right motivation and responsibility, unite, strive to successfully complete assigned tasks, celebrate Spring, welcome Tet joyfully, safely, economically, and be highly combat-ready.

Colonel Nguyen Thai Duong, Deputy Political Commissar of Coast Guard Region 4 Command said: Organizing New Year's Eve Tet activities is extremely important to create a joyful and exciting atmosphere to celebrate Tet ensuring safety and thrift. Thereby helping officers and soldiers promote the spirit of responsibility to perform well the task of combat readiness, protecting sovereignty, sovereign rights, and national jurisdiction in the Southwest sea of the Fatherland; maintaining strict implementation of the law, fighting against crime and violations during and after the Lunar New Year. Building a revolutionary, regular, elite, and modern Coast Guard Region Command, worthy of the title of Uncle Ho's soldiers - Coast Guard soldiers.
