From the reality that the night economy in the area is still fragmented, lacking highlights and not being exploited commensurate with its potential, Gia Lai has planned to develop this new field in a methodical, multi-sectoral direction, suitable to local advantages.
The goal is to effectively exploit available resources to form unique tourism products, attract tourists, extend stays, and increase tourist spending. Thereby creating more jobs, improving income for people and contributing to the socio-economic growth of the province.

Gia Lai aims to develop the night economy, build a vibrant destination, thereby promoting services, industry and raising the role of the development center of the Central region.
To implement effectively, the province orients the selection and organization of exploitation of available nighttime economic zones on the principle of ensuring traffic connection, urban aesthetics, security and order, and environmental sanitation, minimizing impacts on people's lives.
The night economy is identified as an important field, attracting the participation of people, businesses and tourists. The province focuses on expanding night tourism and experience services; developing entertainment venues, night tourism tours; applying science and technology to link the effectiveness of the night economy with the day.
In the field of culture and art, Gia Lai will organize appropriate performance activities at night, forming periodic programs and shows with traditional and contemporary types such as music and dance, Tuong, Cai Choi, Gong, street performances, lighting performances, cinema, fashion, festivals... The province prioritizes large-scale, high-quality, rich in national cultural identity programs.
The province arranges shopping areas in existing pedestrian streets and tourism development center areas; calls for investment in large-scale commercial centers and shopping - entertainment areas. Organize shopping activities at markets, streets, retail systems; display and introduce regional products, traditional craft products. Encourage commercial centers, supermarkets, and convenience stores to extend operating hours, aiming to serve 24/7.
For sports, health care and beauty, the province develops nighttime physical and sports activities such as yoga, jogging, dance, fishing; and periodically organizes festivals, tournaments, and sports events at home and abroad.
In the field of tourism, Gia Lai orients to upgrade and diversify night tourism tours, extend the operating time to 24 hours, exploit cultural, historical, and natural landscape values; organize visits to relics, museums, and scenic spots by appropriate means, bearing local characteristics.
In the culinary field alone, the province has formed culinary neighborhoods imbued with regional identity, ensuring technical infrastructure, environmental sanitation and food safety; encouraging people and businesses to participate in investment and business.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich - Vice Chairwoman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee, nighttime economic development requires overcoming the barrier of thinking "if you can't manage, then ban" in state management. The development process needs to be comprehensively and harmoniously viewed between the requirements of promoting the economy, attracting tourism and ensuring security, order and social safety; not to let security and order concerns limit and obstruct development opportunities.
The night economy, if effectively managed, will make an important contribution to the province's economic growth, effectively exploiting the potential of tourism, services, shopping, and promoting Gia Lai culture and cuisine to domestic and international tourists.
