On August 26, leaders of Bau Bang Commune People's Committee said that the Executive Committee of Bau Bang Commune Party Committee had met and agreed to propose not to merge commune-level administrative units, maintaining the current status of Bau Bang commune as it is today. At the same time, continue to prepare the conditions to implement the orientation of establishing Bau Bang ward when decided by competent authorities.
According to assessments, after one year of operation, the 2-level local government model in Bau Bang commune has achieved many positive results. The model is basically stable and smooth; the organizational structure has been gradually consolidated, reducing intermediate focal points; decentralization and authorization have been strongly implemented, enhancing the proactiveness and responsibility of the grassroots government.
Administrative reform and digital transformation in Bau Bang commune have had many positive changes; national defense - security, social order and safety have been maintained; social security work has been concerned, and the activities of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations have gradually become disciplined.
It is known that Bau Bang commune has an area of 84 km2 with a population of about 53,000 people. This is a locality that is developing industry, services, and urban areas, attracting businesses and workers. Notably, Bau Bang commune has an industrial-urban complex of more than 2,000 hectares. Of which, industrial land alone is 1,000 hectares, and the rest is urban and service land. Bau Bang Industrial Park has many investment projects with a total capital of about 4.7 billion USD. Among them, there is 1 textile dyeing and garment manufacturing enterprise with an investment capital of up to 1.54 billion USD. Many manufacturing enterprises with a scale of up to thousands of workers.

The administrative center of Bau Bang commune inherited the methodical investment infrastructure of Bau Bang district, former Binh Duong province.
