Noong Het Commune is located in the center of the southern region of Dien Bien District, with the smallest area and also the highest population density in the district. In 2016, the commune was recognized as meeting the new rural standards (NTM). After only about 8 years, the commune continued to be recognized as meeting the advanced NTM standards in 2023, 2 years earlier than the target.
Noong Het commune currently has 7/14 villages and hamlets that have met the model new rural standards. This is also a commune with many advantages for developing socio-economic exchanges, transforming economic structure, building and developing rural urban areas in the advanced stage.
Total achieved criteria: 19/19, of which 71/75 component criteria were achieved and exceeded, 4 basic component criteria were achieved (with 22 criteria exceeded). Criteria on transportation; education; information and communication; income met and exceeded criteria. Average income per capita has been increased in recent years. In 2023, it will reach over 53 million VND/person/year (2.4 times higher than in 2016 when it first met the NTM standards).
Mr. Le Duy Hung - Chairman of Noong Het Commune People's Committee - said that from 2021 to 2024, the commune has invested in more than 30 works and projects, with a total investment of more than 130 billion VND, of which people contributed about 2 billion VND in cash and labor days, mainly to build cultural houses and other public works.
According to Mr. Hung, from 2024, the commune will continue to improve and enhance the quality of criteria for advanced NTM communes. Special attention will be paid to implementing the construction of model NTM communes. Piloting smart communes, smart villages, enhancing digital transformation...
