On April 9, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Huy - Chief of Office of Hue University said that he had grasped information from parents reflecting that the book "3rd Grade Informatics Handbook" of Hue University Publishing House contained a "black" website link.
According to Mr. Huy, the Internal Political Security Department (PA03), Hue City Police has intervened to verify and clarify the incident.
PA03 Department is checking, verifying and reporting to the Ministry of Public Security. According to Mr. Huy, this link may have been hacked because it was initially a safe address; in the immediate future, it is necessary to prevent and disable the link.

Previously, on social networks, parents reflected that the book "Class 3 Informatics Workbook" (published by Hue University Publishing House, belonging to the group of reference books outside the compulsory list) had potentially risky content.
Specifically, on page 59, the exercise requires students to use the Google Chrome browser to access an "unsafe" website to practice scrolling.
Chief of Office of Hue University Nguyen Xuan Huy said that representatives of Hue University Publishing House are currently working with the Police and will announce the specifics when there are official results.
Publisher speaks out
Before parents' feedback, at noon on April 9, Dai Truong Phat Company (DTP Group) - the book distributor - issued an urgent notice on the official fanpage, sent to schools, teachers, parents and students.
The unit confirmed that a "serious technical incident" occurred related to the electronic learning material link printed in the book, causing the link to be redirected to inappropriate content. The unit also recommended "absolutely do not access" the above link in any form, and at the same time requested teachers and parents to remind students not to click on it out of curiosity to avoid information security risks.
We sincerely apologize and commit to strengthening the control of the learning system, ensuring safety for educational products" - the announcement stated.
Currently, both schools and publishing units recommend that students not access links to avoid accessing harmful content, and recommend that parents check the content on the Internet before letting their children use it.
The 3rd grade Informatics notebook is a book by three authors Nguyen Tuong Tri (editor-in-chief), Nguyen Van Khang, Nguyen Phuc Xuan Quynh, printed by Hue University Publishing House. This is not a book in the list of textbooks approved by the Ministry of Education and Training, but is used by some schools as reference materials.
