On January 19, information from Nghe An Provincial Party Committee said that the Steering Committee for mobilizing and supporting the construction and repair of houses for the poor and people with housing difficulties in the province has just issued Document No. 02 urging the implementation of the program for mobilizing and supporting the construction and repair of houses for the poor (referred to as the Program).
Over the past time, Nghe An province has implemented many synchronous solutions, mobilizing the political system, people and businesses to join hands to implement the Program.
In 2024, the total amount of resources mobilized in various forms for the Program will reach 208.64 billion VND. Of which: The provincial fund will receive 19.14 billion VND; the district and commune levels will directly support 169.5 billion VND; Other resources (working days, supplies, materials, support from relatives, etc.) are estimated at over 20 billion VND.
To date, the province has mobilized a total of over VND843 billion in various forms. Of which, the provincial fund is VND218.11 billion; the district and commune levels and direct support are VND355 billion; other support resources (working days, supplies, materials, relatives' support...) are estimated at over VND270 billion.
In 2024, the whole province supported the construction and repair of 3,347 houses (including: 10 prefabricated houses; 2,501 newly built houses and 836 repaired houses). Cumulatively, the whole province supported the construction and repair of 11,787 houses (including: 3,590 prefabricated houses; 6,298 newly built houses; 1,899 repaired houses), reaching 75% of the demand for the entire period of 2023 - 2025 compared to the approval at the beginning of the Program (15,700 houses), reaching 66.36% compared to the demand arising by the end of 2024 (17,761 houses).
After nearly 2 years of implementing the Program, by the end of 2024, 8/21 localities had completed the project before the 2023-2025 period. Of which: 4/21 localities had completed it in November 2024, including Yen Thanh district, Nghi Loc district, Anh Son district and Nam Dan district; 4 localities had handed over 162 houses by the end of December 2024, including Do Luong district with 48 houses, Thai Hoa town with 18 houses, Hoang Mai town with 21 houses and Thanh Chuong district with 75 houses.
In addition, there are still some localities that have not been resolute and have not seriously reported according to regulations in implementing the Program; many provincial departments and branches have not reported on the results and progress of commitments to support the construction and repair of houses for the poor to the Provincial Steering Committee within the prescribed time.
The Program Steering Committee has criticized the above localities and units, and at the same time directed relevant localities, departments, organizations and units to continue their efforts and implement synchronous solutions to complete the goals of the Program to mobilize and support the construction and repair of houses for the poor, people with difficult housing circumstances, and meritorious people in the province before August 31, 2025.
