According to the Resolution of the Nam Dinh Provincial People's Council, the project to build a landscape axis road connecting Nam Dinh - Hoa Lu is about 41.3km long (including the main route and the side road about 18.2km long, the Ring Road 2 route about 18km long and the branch route about 5.1km long) and synchronously build works on the route.
Of which, the main route has 6 lanes, a median strip of about 100m, designed according to the standards of a grade I plain road, a design speed of 120km/h, and a roadbed width of about 130.5m.
The roads on both sides of the main route have a level III plain scale, designed speed of 80 km/h, the roadbed width on each side is about 20m (4 lanes). Arrange a median strip between the main route and the side road, depending on the terrain conditions and the curved radius, you can plant trees, about 8m wide. Clearing the ground with a cross-section of about 200m.
Expanding and rebuilding Nam Dinh City Ring Road 2 and the connecting branch line; designed according to the standards of an 8-lane urban road with a cross-section of about 71m, sidewalks on each side are 10m wide. Clearing the ground with a cross-section of about 100m.
The project has a total investment of VND 25,900 billion, from land fund exploitation sources on both sides of the road and other areas of the province, the provincial budget and other legal capital sources. The project implementation period is from 2025 to 2030.
The investment goal is to connect inter-regional traffic between the center of Nam Dinh and Hoa Lu in the southern Red River Delta, expanding new development space. Thereby, contributing to creating momentum for strong socio-economic development, eco-tourism, trade - services of the new province after the merger, especially spiritual tourism among scenic spots, cultures and history in the region, accelerating the process of building and developing the new province into a centrally-run city.
