At about 6:28 pm on April 18, in the Dong Van - Phu Xuyen section (Hanoi), train SE6 collided strongly with a car deliberately crossing a civil crossing. The accident caused serious damage to the vehicle, the driver luckily escaped by a hair's breadth.
According to reporters' records, the accident occurred at the intersection of a people's level crossing at Km 35+637. At that time, a car (unclear license plate and driver's identity) was crossing the railway when it was suddenly hit head-on by passenger train number SE6/927.
The strong collision caused the car to be thrown dozens of meters away, completely deformed, and heavily damaged. This area is a crossing point with high traffic density, posing many risks of railway corridor unsafety.
Immediately after receiving the news, Road Traffic Police Team No. 8 (Traffic Police Department of Hanoi City Police) quickly arrived at the scene. Functional forces coordinated with the railway industry to organize traffic diversion and regulation, avoiding localized congestion on the route.
Notably, according to initial information, the male driver managed to open the door and escape just seconds before the train rushed in, so there were no casualties. Currently, functional agencies are taking statements and examining the scene to clarify the cause of the incident according to regulations.
