According to initial information, late on July 27, a dump truck driven by a male driver was traveling on To Ngoc Van street in the direction from Pham Van Dong street to Thu Duc market. Just about 50m past the Pham Van Dong intersection, this vehicle suddenly crashed into the steel median strip in the middle of the road. Not stopping there, the car continued to rush into the opposite lane, climbed onto the sidewalk and then crashed straight into a glass shop.

At the time of the incident, Mr. Dao Quan (owner of the glasses store) and his family had just closed the door to go to bed for about 10 minutes. His two young sons slept outside near the main door, while the couple lay inside.

When the dump truck crashed into the house, the cabin went straight into the shop, forcing Mr. Quan and his wife to approach the wall. Hearing a loud collision and cries for help in the rubble, people around immediately ran over, removed the iron bar blocking the door and helped pull all four people out.

The victims were then taken to the hospital for first aid. Fortunately, Mr. Quan's wife and two children only suffered minor scratches. At about 2 am on July 28, Mr. Quan took his wife and children to his parents' house for temporary stay.

Although it did not cause serious casualties, the shop and the machinery and goods for eyewear business of Mr. Quan's family were heavily damaged.

Mr. Quan said that the property damage is too great and hopes that the police agency will soon clarify the case, and the car owner is responsible for adequate compensation so that the family has funds to remedy the consequences and restore business.

Currently, functional forces are urgently examining and sealing off the scene to serve the investigation.
